He founded "Operation Good Samaritan" at Loma Linda University to provide surgical care and education to children in developing countries.
At home, Dr. Hardesty's greatest joy is his family, including his wife of over 35 years, Dr. Marti Baum-Hardesty, and their four children who have all pursued careers in healthcare: a Child Psychiatrist, Emergency Medicine Physician, Physician Assistant, and Optometrist.
